It's the time you have been waiting for! The hard work of researching and organizing information to create a final product is now going to be put to the test! Presenting your project to teachers or a panel of judges can be scary, but here are three easy ways to prepare!
Review your topic
Make sure you know your stuff! Look over the notes you have taken and the sources you have cited to refer back to information about your topic. Think about the big picture and how it connects back to your thesis.

Practice answering questions
If you are presenting in a group, practice asking one another questions to prepare for the big day! Also, coordinate with each other the order of answering questions (ex: who is going to answer the first question). Rehearsing ahead of times reduces stress and prevents chaos. Here is a list of practice questions that judges tend to ask.

Dress for success & Stay Calm

There's no harm in wearing a dress or a bowtie when presenting! Dressing up can boost your confidence and show the judges you care about this competition! And, even if a question throws you off, just try your best! It is OK! Don't let your nervousness get the best of you. You have been working on this project for months... you got this!
Keep in mind a few more tips: make eye contact with the judges, don't fidget too much with your hands, don't ramble on, speak slowly and clearly, and try to speak up. Most importantly practice, practice, practice! **Also make sure to have all your materials prepared the day before (annotated bibliographies, process papers, USB's, props, etc).
